How do I organize my shoes in my closet?

I don’t want to spend any money but I really need them organized. Right now they are all just thrown in there.

shoe organizers can be very cheap to very expensive. metal racks can cost as little as $5, wooden shelving units can be as much as $50 if you buy a kit to DIY. i’d recommend the rack, its rather effective and little to no assembly.
do you save the shoeboxes they come in? if you did put them all back into original boxes and stack (you can also take polaroids or print pictures of all the shoes and tape that onto the box so you know whats in it). otherwise just pair all the shoes up and line them up in piles. keep the ones you use most closer to the outside of the lines.

grab one pair of a shoe each, and place it on the floor.

once your all done, look for the other shoes to match the shoes on the floor.

after that, put all the shoe pairs in a seperate box, one pair each box, or, just put the shoes in your closest neatly.GOOD LUCK!!!! =)

I saw the coolest thing online…. I can’t remember the name but, anyway it’s a shoe organizer that you use UNDER your existing bed skirt… It has up to 20+ pockets and the shoes are hidden under the bedskirt.. I just thought that was ingenious use of wasted space… I just checked out Aseenontvnetwork.com… It’s called shoeskirt!

You could also put the bed on risers and store them neatly by season under the bed or use behind the door organizers…

    good luck
