What am I missing from my college packing list?

What are good alternatives to "wonder hangers" and "shoes under"?
I’m wanting to organize my closet and I’m looking for good ways to compact my clothes/hangers and also free up floor space by moving my shoes. The "Wonder Hangers" and "Shoes Under" are kinda what I’m going for and they seemed ideal til I read lots of reviews that they are crap. What are other similar items that actually work? Also how much do they cost and where (like kohls, bed bath and beyond etc) can I find them? I’d like to go pick them up somewhere tomorrow if possible instead of ordering online.
